During his internship with Anderson Group BPO Inc., Rex already played a huge role in the company. He assisted the management and helped in preparing the company for the ISO accreditation. Read on as he shares his own Anderson experience.
How was your internship experience with Anderson?
My internship experience with Anderson was good and I have learned a lot of things from their program – from quintessential technical documentation to personal development. It was a blessing to me that I’ve become part of this organization. The workload was definitely hard for an intern, but I saw it as an opportunity to adapt and learn new things about information security.
What did you learn during your Internship?
Reading is definitely essential. Pay attention to details no matter how big or small the details are. Simple details could lead you to bigger things which I think happened half of the time during our ISO Audit. My patience greatly improved because following the annex is like a step-by-step approach.
How did you get promoted as an official employee?
Sir JRT asked me if I was interested. I was busy with my hobbies during that time, so I told him that I needed more time to think. Also, I was a recent graduate and the urge to rest was too strong. Luckily, the position was still open and so I decided to take the offer and work for them.
How did your learnings during your internship help you now as an employee?
It helps me when reviewing documents about procedures and, especially, cross-referencing.
Any advice to other interns?
Strive for quality and excellence. Don’t hold yourself back from speaking out about your opinion regarding the project that you are working on. I think it is a good start to always remind yourself that you are working with leaders that have good intentions and willing to go extra miles just to help you grow.
