Position Title:
Conversion Rate Optimization Specialist


Reports to:
Portfolio Manager

The CRO specialist is responsible for ideating, developing and executing conversion rate optimisation experiments in line with Partners’ business objectives. The ultimate goal of the role is to combine data analysis, design and comms principles, as well as knowledge of digital marketing best practices, to improve conversion rates across different stages of the marketing funnel. The CRO specialist is a key part of the Growth Team and has a deep impact in the performance of Partner’s business. The CRO specialist drives performance forward by finding CRO opportunities, specifying experiments, seeing through their execution, reporting the results and driving the iteration of experiments based on results.


  • Gain a deep understanding of the Partner’s business context and objectives
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative research to identify CRO opportunities that support the Growth Team’s activities
  • Lead the experiment design process by briefing internal/external resources
  • Manage ideation, planning, and execution efforts of CRO projects
  • Lead the experimentation process itself, documenting hypothesis, methodologies and approach
  • Execute and manage the experiments (some examples of what this may include: Setting up landing pages, working with the performance team to run specific ads, working with development team to ensure appropriate tracking is set up, etc…)
  • Report and present the learnings from the experiments internally
  • Report and present conversion rate improvements internally
  • Drive the iteration process for continuous and consistent experimentation
  • Champion CRO best practices internally and for partners

  • Highly numerical and data-driven
  • Knowledgeable about statistical analysis and experiment design
  • Direct experience with tools/platforms such as Google Analytics, Unbounce, Google Content Experiments, LeadPages, WordPress, Fullstory, etc…
  • Ability to work with and analyze data sets
  • Basic HTML/CSS/JS skills to be able to set up, or assist in setting up, optimization tests.
  • Basic graphic editing skills to be able to modify graphics to create test variations
  • Basic understanding of SQL is favorable
  • Confidence with writing copy is a big plus
  • 3-5+ years in digital marketing and CRO
  • Being performance and results-oriented
  • A/B testing and MVT experience
  • Understanding of user experience across the entire user lifecycle beyond acquisition and activation
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Understanding social networks, digital products, and user’ behavior
  • Digital agency experience, capable of working concurrently on several projects
  • Logical thinker
  • Ability to pivot
