From IT admin – intern to Junior IT admin employee, we asked Michael Co what his internship with Anderson Group BPO, Inc. meant to him. Read as he shares how he sees the opportunity helped him in his current job.
How was your internship experience with Anderson?
My Internship experience with Anderson is quite surprising because the work environment was new to me and I was out of my comfort zone, but I took it as a challenge to improve myself in the long run. My colleagues are very supportive when it comes to teaching me about the IT processes which will help me in my career later on.
What did you learn during your internship?
During my internship days, I learned how to adapt to a work environment I wasn’t used to. I also got to know how the corporate world works. They acquainted me with what a BPO company does in its day-to-day operations for both the client and IT support side. I have learned how to become a better version of me when it comes to technical skills.
How were you promoted as an official employee?
Sir Mac Tizon [currently Anderson’s IT Service Delivery Manager] advised me to apply as an IT at AGBI. Having recently graduated, I decided to go and take the chance. Luckily, they accepted me and now I’m a part of the IT family.
How did your learnings during your internship help you now as an employee?
It really helps me during times of urgent issues which need to be resolved. I’m thankful that I was trained to not focus on the pressure too much.
How did Anderson Group help in shaping you to become a better professional?
AGBI gives me an opportunity to become an IT professional by trade. I am very lucky that the management provides me the chance to learn and discover reality in the industry. I also get to enjoy amazing perks only the employees receive.
