Purpose of the Position

The Search Specialist’s (Google Marketing Expert) role is to drive sustainable growth in revenue via best practices and growth tactics as it pertains to Paid Search (PPC). In collaboration with the brand’s SEM Specialist, you will assist in developing strategy, setting up ad accounts, developing ad groups and loading, optimising, analysis and reporting paid search. You will have a significant impact in driving insights and revenue for our partner investments. Additionally, it is expected you will continuously explore technologies, strategies and re engineer processes, and proactively share learnings.

Accountabilities

  • Owning the best practices SEM auditing process for new investment partners and keyword research
  • Setting up of new investment partner accounts
  • Crafting, setting up of new ad groups, copy, creative, publishing
  • Optimize copy and landing pages for paid search engine marketing campaigns
  • Perform ongoing paid keyword discovery, expansion and optimization
  • Research and analyze competitor advertising campaigns
  • Solid support for the brand’s SEM Specialist in driving revenue, results and deadlines
  • Execute tests, collect and analyze data, identify trends and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI in paid search campaigns
  • Track, report, and analyze website analytics and PPC initiatives and campaigns
  • Manage campaign expenses, staying on budget, estimating monthly costs and reconciling discrepancies

  • Solid support the brand’s SEM Specialist in delivering results against deadlines and forecasts
  • Delivering valuable business insights consistently and sharing with the team to drive stronger results
  • Regular and meaningful creative refreshes based on data and insights
  • Achieve the stretch revenue forecasts by working closely with your Sydney SEM Specialist counterpart
  • Continuous evolution and improvement of processes and SEM tactics

Skills/Experience/Behaviors

  • Proven SEM experience and success managing PPC campaigns across Google – 3 – 5 + years PP
  • Well-versed in performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in search engine marketing
  • In-depth experience with bid management tools (e.g., Click Equations, Marin, Kenshoo, Search Ignite)
  • Experience with website analytics tools (e.g, Google Analytics)
  • Strong analytical skills and experience generating SEM reports
  • Familiarity with A/B and multivariate experiments
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints
  • BS/MS degree in Marketing or a quantitative, test-driven field
  • Highly data driven with strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Able to setup and optimise campaigns across PPC, display & Video (Retargeting) and focus on true ROI;
  • Ability to write compelling ad sales copy;
  • Commitment to continue to learn the latest digital trends and techniques;
  • Additional digital skills in SEO or Paid Social are a bonus;
